Job & internship web sites for college students & new grads

You are here: Career Services > For students > Job & internship search > Web sites with jobs, internships & career info > Job, internship web sites for college students & new grads

Because these sites advertise themselves as focused on students and new grads, hopefully you will encounter fewer jobs that require experience — a frustration for new grads.

After College.com > Virginia Tech section
This includes "experience level" of "0-1 year," but also includes many jobs requiring experience. Select from many academic departments and student organizations. Then you can narrow the list by experience level.

The Black Collegian Online.com
Career site for students of color.

CampusCareerCenter.com
Must register to use.

Career Opportunities for Students with Disabilities.org (COSD)
A unique consortium composed of large and small universities, well-known national employers and U.S. Government agencies focused on the career employment of college graduates with disabilities. COSD is funded through a grant provided by the U.S. Department of Labor Office of Disability and Employment Policy.

CareerRookie.com

Formerly CBcampus.com, is CareerBuilder's stand-alone job site connecting employers with students and recent graduates looking for internships, part-time jobs and entry- level careers. (Site announced on 9.10.09)

CollegeGrad.com
Jobs and internships for college students and recent graduates.

CollegeJobBoard.com
You can view jobs without registering.

CollegeRecruiter.com
Go straight to internships or entry-level jobs. Narrow that geographically.

GetThatGig.com
RECOMMENDED. Jobs and internships in many fields, including hard-to-find kinds of jobs.  You don't have to register to look at jobs and career interviews. Good site.

HotJobs.yahoo.com
Okay, this site makes this list because they have a "college jobs" category that will take you to entry-level positions and internships. How 'bout that!

JobPostings.net
View variety of industries and categories like "co-ops and internships." That will send you to an employer list. On the last day I checked this out (7.30.09) there were seven "companies" displayed after selecting "co-ops and internships," but upon selecting each one, the result was "...sorry, your search returned 0 postings...." (Huh?) You can search by job category and state, but no guarantee your search will yield anything. Maybe I just searched on a bad day.... and you'll catch a better one.

MonsterTrak.com has been replaced by MonsterCollege.com
Jobs and internships; focus of MonsterTrak (vs. Monster.com) are jobs for college students and recent grads.
9.23.09: "MonsterCollege is dedicated to helping college students and recent grads find the perfect job. This new student experience combines thousands of additional relevant entry level job postings and internships (as offered in the past on MonsterTRAK) with a college-based networking community."

StudentJobs.gov
Temporary jobs, co-ops, internships and university work study positions. (Note eScholar for internships, cooperative education, scholarships, fellowships, and grants for undergraduate and graduate students.) Links to other sites with government employment.
Also see career-field-specific > government and related websites for more sources to find federal employment.
