Ways Parents Can Give Career Help
Parents can provide career advice, exposure to the real world, and jobs at graduation to Virginia Tech students:
- If you have internships, co-ops and post-graduation jobs in your organization: Recruit on campus in fall and spring semesters, and post jobs throughout the calendar year. Participate in various career fairs during fall and spring semesters. See employer services.
- Throughout the year we welcome alumni volunteers to register in VT CareerLink. You specifiy the types of career advice and assistance you can offer to students. Registration is online. Students can search VT CareerLink and contact you.
A call to alumni: Be a VT CareerLink volunteer - In early fall we seek sponsors to host students for shadowing visits of one to five days through our January Externship Program.
