Eligibility:
- Freshmen with at least 12 hours completed
- Sophomores
- Juniors
- Seniors must request instructor permission to take this class.

Call 231-6241 during office hours, and let the receptionist know which class section interests you so you may be placed in contact with the instructor for that section.
After successful completion of this course, a student will be able to:
- Identify applicable career development theories as a foundation to making career decisions.
- Use an effective career decision making process.
- Assess and identify interests, skills, values, and other related personal attributes and develop an understanding of their relationship to career choices.
- Identify and use a variety of resources to research and explore career options.
- Research, compile, apply, and implement information toward making career decisions.
- Develop an appreciation for critical aspects of the world-of-work and the importance of career-related experience.
- Discuss the roles of careers in today’s society.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the dynamics of professionalism in the workplace.
- Demonstrate effective job search skills including the development of quality resumes and cover letters.
- Develop short- and long-term educational, occupational, and personal goals.
