FINDING JOBS AND EMPLOYERS:
How VT graduates got their jobs

Top methods: (based on actually asking the grads! via the Post-Graduation Survey)
Source of first contact with employer whose job I accepted (latest report):
Worked for employer before 23%
Networking 22%
Career fair 21%
On-Campus Intv/Hokies4Hire 11%

Yeah, but what about for my college?
Top methods by college for five years of grads (pdf)

Yeah, but what about for my major?
See the report; right smack under the heading select "view a.. major." Select, and, voila (the only French word I know, meaning "look there!") your report is refreshed (if not, check your other browser windows).
Scroll/read down to "EMPLOYMENT" and "job / employer source."
Bingo.
(Note you'll see exactly how many grads of your major responded to each item on the survey.)

Well, who hired them?
Post-Graduation Report — Each graduating class is surveyed; learn how they found their jobs, and more. When you view the full report, you can choose to view for your major (or a college); under "employment," see job / employer source."
Who hired VT graduates?
Great question. We ask the grads (via the Post-Graduation Survey).
Post-Graduation Report — Each graduating class is surveyed. For those employed (vs continuing education) we ask who their employers are, their job titles, and more.
In the report, see list of ALL employers, job titles & locations.
List is alpha by undergraduate major — so you can scroll to yours — or at the top you can choose to view the list by major or college.
You can also sort by any of the headings, including undergrad major, employer, etc.
