What we do:

The Office of Health Professions Advising (OHPA) at Virginia Tech assists students and alumni pursuing a health care career in medicine, dentistry, optometry, pharmacy, chiropractic, occupational therapy, nursing, physician's assistant, veterinary medicine, or other graduate health professions.

For whom:

Any student or alumnus/alumna of Virginia Tech, regardless of major, can use the services of OHPA. Although the majority of health professions students major in a science field, it is not required.

Health professions campus coordinators at Virginia Tech:

Students may and should consult the appropriate health professions coordinator(s) after reviewing the health professions undergraduate coursework and other preparation information for the health field(s) of interest.
When you request an appointment, allow adequate time for the faculty member to respond to you and accommodate her/his other professional and schedule commitments.
These coordinators are in addition to and do not substitute for your academic advisor in your academic department.
