Did you know that hundreds of employers visit the Virginia Tech campus each year to recruit students for full-time, co-op and internship positions? An even larger number search our resume database for candidates to fill vacant positions. Learn how to most effectively use our Hokies4Hire system in your job search process.

Tues. Sep. 8 Career Fair Preparation for Graduate Students
There are several large job fairs on campus this fall and employers ARE interested in talking with graduate students—especially at the master’s level. Do you know how to present yourself to an employer at a job fair? What to ask? What they’ll expect? Come to this seminar to learn a few tricks of this trade!

Whether you’re beginning your master’s degree or about to finish your Ph.D.; thinking about careers in industry, government, or academia; Career Services can assist you with many aspects of your career decision making or job search process. This seminar will introduce you to services offered by Career Services and outline a timeline to help you get on track and reach your ultimate post-graduation goal.

Having a well-constructed and informative Curriculum Vita (CV) is an important first step in your academic job search.   Whether you are searching for a faculty position or a post-doc opportunity, a CV will be required.  Attend this seminar to learn the basics of CV construction or tips on how to polish your current version.
