Environmental Science: Description of Major

This curriculum offers four options: aquatic resources, land resources, plant resources, and waste management. Major areas of interest include land-use planning, surface and ground water quality, wetlands, waste handling, bioremediation, recycling, environmental clean-up, revegetation of disturbed areas, and agricultural and other human impacts on the environment.

Graduates find employment in the public and private sectors, where they are involved in environmental consulting, remediation, monitoring, compliance, and conservation.
