Agricultural Technology: Description of Major

This two-year program prepares students for a wide variety of managerial and technical jobs. Graduates receive an associate of agriculture degree.

This major requires an occupational internship, which is usually fulfilled during the summer between the two years. Options include agricultural business, animal agriculture, landscape and turf management, and crop production.

Students must apply directly to the department. Only a limited number of credits from this program can be applied toward a four-year degree in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Virginia Tech.
