Salary
data:
Why it's not available for the class of 2002 |
| We deeply
regret that salary data is not available for the Class of 2002. |
| |
|
| |
What
we intended to provide and why we can't: |
| |
The survey asks employed
graduates to state their salary. For the Post-Graduation Report,
salary data is compiled to provide means and percentiles (25th,
50th and 75th) by major, college, and the university as a whole. |
| |
However,
due to an error in survey administration, during Stage 1 (see Methodology),
employed graduates were asked to choose a specified range within
which their salaries fell. During Stage 2 (the 6-month follow-up
for those students who did not have firm plans at Stage 1), graduates
were asked to state their salaries. The data was then mixed, and
the results are not valid. |

Alternative
information that may be helpful: |
| |
You
may find it helpful to view salary data from the Post-Graduation
Report for prior graduating classes, and make comparisons year-to-year.
See Post-Graduation Report to select
class years. |
| |
We
also invite you to visit Career Services during office
hours to view the NACE (National Association of Colleges and
Employers) salary data for new graduates. This data is not specific
to Virginia Tech, but reflects new graduates' starting salaries
nationwide. Our staff will be glad to assist you to find the information
you need from the NACE salary report. |
