Career Services
sponsors an annual survey of students who have applied (through
the Registrar's Office) for their bachelor's degrees. The survey
is to elicit solid data about the post-graduation employment plans
and graduate school attendance plans of these bachelor's degree
applicants. The Center for Survey Research was contracted
to administer the survey and collect the data. The survey results
comprise this Post-Graduation Report. |

|
|
Who: |
|
For the purpose
of this survey, the Class of 2002 includes students who applied
to complete the bachelor's degree in December 2001, May 2002, June
2002 or August 2002. All students in these categories were surveyed. |
|
Numbers and
percentages of graduates who were unreachable for response to this
survey are listed as "Status Unknown" in Post-graduation
status data. |
|
|
|
How: |
|
The survey
is administered in two-stages as follows: |
|
- |
Stage 1 prior to degree
completion. |
|
- |
Stage 2 is a follow-up
contact for those graduates who had no firm plan at Stage 1, or
who did not respond at Stage 1; Stage 2 is administered six (6)
months following graduation. |
|
- |
For December graduates,
Stage 1 was adminstered approximately 1 month prior to graduation. |
|
- |
For May, June and August
graduates, Stage 1 administration began approximately one month
prior to May graduation. |
|
- |
In past years, both Stage
1 and Stage 2 were a telephone survey. For the first time, for the
Class of 2002, Stage 1 was administered as a web-based survey. Stage
2 was a telephone survey. |
