Don't leave your career choice to chance. Knowing yourself is critical to making your career choice. In this session, we'll talk about the various resources available through Virginia Tech Career Services and Human Resources to help you in knowing yourself and making your career decision. A representative from the Virginia Tech Department of Human Resources will be available to answer questions.

Wed. Feb. 20 Market Yourself on Paper and on the Virginia Tech Job Application System
Attend this session to give your resume a tune up and get some tips about applying online on the Virginia Tech job application system. We will also discuss the Virginia Tech application screening process.

Wed. Mar. 19 Market Yourself in Person
Join us for a session to discuss interviewing skills and various interview formats including the 411 on behavioral interviewing that will prepare you for interviews at Virginia Tech or with other employers.

Wed. Apr. 9 Evaluating and Negotiating Offers
During this session, we'll address considerations for evaluating and negotiating offers. We’ll discuss the Commonwealth of Virginia's 13 pay factors in determining salaries. We will also share salary surveys, cost of living calculators, and additional salary information resources.
