Extending offers
Guidelines for extending co-op or internship offers to students who will be enrolled in the Cooperative Education / Internship Program

•	When extending offers to students, please be clear about salary, start and end dates, work location, and any benefits you will provide.
•	See the calendar of work term and semester begin and end dates for guidelines.
•	Any verbal offer should also be confirmed in writing to the student. The student is required to submit a copy of the written offer to Career Services in order to enroll in the Co-op / Internship Program.
•	Please realize that students may need time to make a well-informed decision; we recommend that you provide students a minimum of two weeks to give you an answer.
•	If an offer is accepted, please instruct the student to see: for students enrolling in the program: what to do and when. Students who fail to complete requirements with Career Services upon accepting a job are not active Cooperative Education / Internship Program students.
•	A Work / School Schedule Agreement is required for a student to be enrolled in the Program.
