Guidelines for extending co-op or internship offers to students who will be enrolled in the Cooperative Education / Internship Program

When extending offers to students, please be clear about salary, start and end dates, work location, and any benefits you will provide.
See the calendar of work term and semester begin and end dates for guidelines.
Any verbal offer should also be confirmed in writing to the student. The student is required to submit a copy of the written offer to Career Services in order to enroll in the Co-op / Internship Program.
Please realize that students may need time to make a well-informed decision; we recommend that you provide students a minimum of two weeks to give you an answer.
If an offer is accepted, please instruct the student to see:
for students enrolling in the program: what to do and when.
Students who fail to complete requirements with Career Services upon accepting a job are not active Cooperative Education / Internship Program students.
A Work / School Schedule Agreement is required for a student to be enrolled in the Program.
