When the university is closed, Career Services is closed.

If the university is closed, closes early for the day, or has a delayed opening — for weather-related or any other reason — Career Services must do likewise; and events and services sponsored by our office are cancelled/closed during university closing.

University closings are announced on the university home page at www.vt.edu and/or campus news.

On-Campus Interviewing Program:

In case of university closing: While our staff would very much like to accomodate employers who have already travelled to Blacksburg prior to a weather-related closing, for safety reasons for students, for our staff, and for our guests, we are not able to be open during university weather-related closings.

In case of university late opening: On-Campus Interviewing will also open at the time the university opens.

Connection Co-op and Internship Job Fair, February, sponsored by Career Services:

Any announcements related to this event will be noted in the Connection event information online.

Career & job fairs, other events not sponsored / controlled by Career Services:

Career Services publicizes and endorses many events that we do not directly sponsor and over which we have no control, including many career and job fairs. If circumstances permit, we will note cancellations in the event listing, but you should place reliance upon the specific event web site (not our event list) and upon the contact person for the specific event.
