2007-2008 Employer Training Programs
  The 2.5-hour training session is designed to familiarize employers with the Virginia Tech Cooperative Education/Internship Program sponsored by Career Services and to help employers enhance your recruiting efforts.
WHEN: Prior to a VT career fair:
  Career Services periodically offers this afternoon employer training session, scheduled to occur before a Virginia Tech career fair, for the convenience of employers attending the fair and thus already traveling to Blacksburg. Upcoming date(s):

Connection Co-op & Internship Fair on Tues. Feb. 12, 2008
   
WHERE:
    Smith Career Center. Location.
Cost:
    No cost to attendees.  
WHAT the sessions will cover:
  Learn about various ways to hire students to fill your openings; particularly the types of students targeted at each fair.
  Hear about the process and requirements for students in our program.
  Review your key responsibilities as an employer of a student in our program.
  Meet Co-op/Intern Advisors and our staff who work with the Cooperative Education / Internship Program.
   
HOW to register for a training session:
    Please note that registering to attend a specific career fair is a completely separate process from registering for the training session!
   

E-mail Ms. Pam Herrmann, Senior Assistant Director for Experiential Education, pam.herrmann@vt.edu by the registration deadline for the training session you would like to attend. Please note space is limited and may fill prior to the registration deadline.

Pam will reply and provide you with a detailed agenda, more detailed directions to our office location and a parking pass.
