CEIP ORIENTATION:

About:

CEIP = Cooperative Education & Internship Program
ALL STUDENTS SEEKING EXPERIENCE — even if not intending to enroll in CEIP — are encouraged and WELCOMED to attend to LEARN ABOUT WAYS TO GET EXPERIENCE!

About CEIP orientation | what it covers:
• Components and requirements of the Virginia Tech Undergraduate Cooperative Education & Internship Program. 
• Job search strategies for those in an active job search.
• Mandatory for students who are considering participation in the program while working on a co-op or internship. You only need to attend one session; multiple dates/times offered during fall and spring semesters.
• Sessions are one hour long. 

Required Registration:

REGISTRATION is required for sessions held in the Smith Career Center because space is limited.
If you can’t attend after signing up, please cancel as a courtesy so that another student may register in your spot.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE:
AT LATEST by NOON on the BUSINESS DAY prior to the session.
Some sessions fill quickly; waiting until the day prior might be too late!

HOW TO REGISTER (or cancel):

Login to Hokies4Hire
Your user name is your PID followed by '@vt.edu'. 
PREVIOUS H4H USERS: Your password is the same one you used in the past. 
NEW USERS: Your initial password is the last four digits of your student ID number; be sure to change it promptly to one of your own choosing by editing your profile.

After logging in:
Complete your PROFILE
To view upcoming orientation sessions:
Select CAREER EVENTS from the top tool bar
Select ORIENTATION from the “category” pull down menu
Select SEARCH
Select desired session from list
Select REGISTER FOR EVENT

To verify your registration:
Select MY ACCOUNT
Select MY ACTIVITY from the pull down menu
Select EVENT REGISTRATION; you should see the orientation for which you registered

CAN'T ATTEND AFTER SIGNING UP?
Please be nice to your fellow students and use Hokies4Hire to cancel, through event registration, so someone else can have your spot. Registration is necessary because space is limited.
