April 2009: the Virginia Tech Alumni Association introduced:
Hokie Nation Network (HNN), online social and professional networking site designed exclusively for Hokies.
New + Experienced grads |
| |
 |
| |
Alumni Association description:
"HNN was created specifically to allow Hokies to connect with alumni, faculty, staff and students based on shared interests, professions, and geographic locations. Other benefits to members include current updates on Alumni Association, college, departmental, and student organization activities as well as viewing employment opportunities, resume postings, and more. It will conveniently interface with Facebook, allowing members access to exclusive HNN announcements and networking opportunities. This new network is open for alumni to start networking today (4.15.09). Faculty, staff, and current students will join in by late May 2009." |
| |
Reasons for joining include:
• Search feature allows you to find other registered Hokies by locality, career, specific interest, class year or major.
• Career opportunities: post your resume, create new business contacts, start a discussion related to your field or find employment opportunities.
• Advertise special opportunities to other Hokies such as ... employment availabilities.... |
